Snowfall alert: Morocco braces for snow across key provinces
The Directorate General of Meteorology (DGM) has forecasted significant snowfall, ranging from 5 to 15 centimeters, on elevations above 1,800 meters across several provinces in Morocco. The snowfall is expected to occur on Monday and Tuesday.
According to the DGM's orange-level weather alert, snowfall between 10 and 15 centimeters is anticipated in the provinces of Azilal, Beni Mellal, Midelt, Tinghir, Ouarzazate, and Al Haouz.
Similarly, snow accumulation of 5 to 10 centimeters is projected during the same period in the provinces of Ifrane, Boulemane, Taroudant, and Chichaoua.
