Elon Musk’s role in fostering international business relationships has positioned him as a potential intermediary in global trade dynamics, particularly between the United States and China. Tesla’s Rise in China

Located just an hour from Shanghai, Tesla’s gigafactory stands as a testament to Musk’s deep connections with China. This facility, responsible for manufacturing nearly one million Tesla vehicles annually, produces over half of Tesla’s global output. Shanghai’s strategic support played a pivotal role in this success, driven by influential figures like Li Qiang, the city’s former Communist Party secretary and now China’s premier.

Bill Russo, CEO of Shanghai-based Auto Mobility Limited, explains the critical turning point in 2017 when China relaxed its automotive industry policies, allowing foreign companies full ownership of their factories.
