In a display of traditional hospitality and diplomatic warmth, Princess Lalla Asmae of Morocco extended a ceremonial welcome to Dominique Ouattara, the First Lady of Côte d'Ivoire, upon her arrival in Sale for a working visit. The occasion marked the launch of the second phase of the Ivorian campaign "United, We Hear Each Other Better," an initiative aimed at assisting hearing-impaired children across Africa.

Upon touchdown, the First Lady's entourage was greeted by a phalanx of high-ranking officials, including regional governors, council presidents, and representatives of international organizations, assembled to welcome the esteemed guest. The royal reception unfolded with military precision as a contingent of the Auxiliary Forces paid honors, and Princess Lalla Asmae and Dominique Ouattara were escorted through a ceremonial welcome line.

Following Moroccan tradition, the First Lady of Côte d'Ivoire was invited to partake in the offering of milk and dates, symbolizing hospitality and respect. After a brief pause in the Royal Lounge, the procession made its way to the Royal Guests Palace, where Dominique Ouattara would reside during her visit.

This visit holds significant weight as it marks the beginning of a collaborative partnership between the Lalla Asmae Foundation and the Children of Africa Foundation. Scheduled for October 2023, Princess Lalla Asmae and the First Lady of Côte d'Ivoire will co-chair the second phase of the "United, We Hear Each Other Better" program, launched in Abidjan, solidifying their joint commitment to empowering and supporting hearing-impaired children across the African continent.

As diplomatic ties between Morocco and Côte d'Ivoire continue to strengthen, this visit serves as a testament to the enduring bonds of friendship and cooperation between the two nations. The warmth and grandeur of the ceremonial welcome accorded to the First Lady of Côte d'Ivoire exemplify this commitment to mutual respect and collaboration.
