Moroccan Royal Family's Discreet Celebration for Princess Lalla Soukaina's 38th Birthday
In a low-key yet elegant setting, Princess Lalla Soukaina, cherished granddaughter of the late King Hassan II, celebrated her 38th birthday surrounded by close family and a few intimate friends. The private gathering, characterized by its discretion, reflected the princess's preference for privacy, allowing her to enjoy the occasion without the public spotlight.
Born on April 30, 1986, to Princess Lalla Meryem and Fouad Filali, Lalla Soukaina is known as the first granddaughter of the revered monarch. She was educated at the prestigious "College Royal" in Rabat, which provided a solid foundation for her later studies in Paris. There, she pursued a master's degree in journalism and communications.
In 2014, Lalla Soukaina married Mehdi Regragui in a traditional Moroccan wedding ceremony in Rabat, following their initial nuptials on October 11 of the same year. Less than eighteen months after their marriage, the royal couple welcomed twin boys, bringing a new chapter of joy to their lives.
Despite her prominent lineage, Lalla Soukaina has always maintained a low profile, enjoying the privacy that allows her to relish life's special moments away from public attention. Her recent birthday celebration, an intimate affair with close family and friends, underscored her commitment to this discretion.
As the daughter of Princess Lalla Meryem, the eldest child of the late King Hassan II, and Fouad Filali, son of the former Prime Minister and Foreign Affairs Minister Abdellatif Filali, Lalla Soukaina is intricately linked to Moroccan royalty. However, she navigates this privileged existence with grace, finding comfort in the company of loved ones and the sanctuary of private gatherings.
