In a notable academic achievement, 79.4% of Moroccan students passed the 2024 baccalaureate exams, with 347,861 school-based candidates succeeding across both the regular and remedial sessions.

The Moroccan Ministry of National Education, Preschool, and Sports announced that this year’s results reflect a significant improvement from the previous year, where the pass rate was 74.3%. The results were a combined outcome of both the regular examinations and the remedial sessions.

During the remedial session, 126,870 candidates, including both school-based and independent (home-schooled) students, took the exams. Of these, 72,054 students passed, achieving a success rate of 56.8%. Specifically, 57,525 school-based candidates passed in this session, marking a pass rate of 57.36%, while 14,529 independent candidates succeeded with a 54.5% pass rate.

Candidates received their results via SMS and email through taalim.ma early on Friday morning.

The 2024 examination process introduced several innovations to enhance security and efficiency. An integrated system ensured the secure transfer of exam questions to printing and distribution centers at regional academies. Additionally, a physical-digital traceability solution for candidates' answer sheets was implemented to secure the correction process before anonymity was lifted.

The ministry will continue producing secure digital versions of baccalaureate diplomas and transcripts, which candidates can access starting today, with paper versions available from the same date.

The Ministry of National Education acknowledged the exemplary commitment of teachers in implementing measures to enhance the credibility of the Moroccan baccalaureate and ensure equal opportunities for all candidates. It also recognized the efforts of families, local and security authorities, and all stakeholders in ensuring the smooth conduct of the exams.
