In a photo of the statue posted on Instagram, the Facebook CEO and co-founder stated that he was “bringing back the Roman tradition of making sculptures of your wife.”

The impressive sculpture was created by Daniel Arsham, a New York-based artist known for collaborations with brands such as Tiffany and Dior. The statue depicts Chan in green, seemingly mid-stride, with a large silver cloak flowing behind her.

Zuckerberg’s photo shows Chan standing beside the statue, which appears to be approximately seven feet tall and is positioned under a tree. In the comments, Chan playfully wrote, “The more of me the better?” accompanied by a heart emoji.

People magazine, which dubbed Zuckerberg “the ultimate wife guy,” noted that in Roman times, statues were sometimes crafted to honor deceased loved ones or to acknowledge significant relatives and forge meaningful associations.

The statue garnered a largely positive response from Zuckerberg’s followers.

“Omg so beautiful, lucky girl,” one person commented, while the account “The Billionaires Lifestyle,” which shares images of wealthy individuals and luxurious items, posted, “This needs to be in a museum,” along with applause and fire emojis.

However, not everyone was impressed. Andrew Mwangi remarked, “This is the most billionaire thing to do ever,” while a user named deviletter commented, “Yikes. This is quite unflattering.”

Interestingly, Zuckerberg did not share the photo on Facebook, although he recently posted a video of himself surfing while wearing a tuxedo and holding an American flag.
