Raja Casablanca Reigns Supreme in Coupe du Trône Triumph
In a pulsating encounter at the Grand Stade d'Agadir, Raja Casablanca etched their name into the annals of Moroccan football history, claiming a hard-fought 2-1 victory over AS FAR in the prestigious Coupe du Trône final. The match, which pitted the top two teams from the recent Botola season against each other, witnessed a fierce battle of wills and culminated in Raja Casablanca's triumphant double: both the league and cup titles.
The Greens from Casablanca burst out of the blocks, seizing the initiative from the outset. Just four minutes into the contest, Algerian forward Yousri Bouzok scored, giving Raja Casablanca an early lead. However, AS FAR swiftly regained their composure, mounting a sustained offensive and creating numerous goalscoring opportunities in front of Anas Zniti's goal.
Amine Zouhzouh eventually found the equalizer in the 28th minute, leveling the score and setting the stage for a tense second half.
