The region of Casablanca-Settat was enveloped in a serene atmosphere as the highly anticipated Brevet exams for obtaining the secondary cycle certificate commenced on Monday, July 1st. Examination centers buzzed with the attentive presence of anxious parents, their eyes fixed on the gates, eagerly awaiting the emergence of their children embarking on this pivotal academic journey.
The day began with students tackling the Arabic language and social sciences examinations, setting the tone for a week-long assessment continuing until Tuesday afternoon, covering a comprehensive array of subjects.
Numerous educational institutions witnessed an influx of parents, their expressions a blend of hope and trepidation, congregating outside school premises yearning for their offspring's success in this crucial endeavor.
Maternal voices echoed concerns about the examination, citing disruptions that had plagued the academic year's start due to a teachers' strike protesting employees' status within the national education sector.
Undeterred by challenges, the Regional Academy of Education in Casablanca-Settat meticulously orchestrated a comprehensive framework, mobilizing its human and infrastructural resources to ensure seamless execution of this regional unified examination.
Salah Bena, director of Chahid Hassan Saghi College under the Provincial Directorate of National Education in Sidi Bernoussi, emphasized the examination's significance as the culmination of collective efforts by students and educational personnel throughout the academic year.
Bena elucidated meticulous preparations by the provincial directorate, under the regional academy's auspices, ensuring logistics, equipment provision, and strategic deployment of oversight committees.
He underscored rigorous evaluation processes employed by dedicated committees scrutinizing every operational aspect to guarantee smooth conduct of the examination and positive outcomes in this pivotal phase, reflecting the Moroccan educational system's collective endeavors.
Information from the Bernoussi directorate indicates 12,440 students participating in this regional unified examination, with 12,313 regular attendees and 127 independent candidates. The Provincial Directorate of the Ministry of National Education in Sidi Bernoussi designated 27 centers for examination facilitation.
