Maroc Telecom marked a revenue growth by 1.2 %
Maroc Telecom reported a consolidated revenue of 9.1 billion dirhams by the end of March 2024, marking a 1.2% increase. This growth is primarily attributed to rising international revenues, which partially mitigated the decline in revenues within Morocco.
The positive operational and financial outcomes of the group in the first quarter underscore its resilience despite a competitive landscape. Contributions from Moov Africa subsidiaries, advancements in high-speed fixed broadband, and ongoing cost optimization endeavors have bolstered these achievements.
The group's ambitious investment strategy aims to leverage its network quality and differentiate itself through performance and service excellence. International operations have seen sustained growth, largely driven by the expansion of Mobile Data and Fixed Data services.
Nonetheless, activities within Morocco saw a marginal 1.3% decline, although growth in Fixed Internet helped offset losses in the Mobile sector. In summary, while facing challenges domestically, Maroc Telecom's international engagements and initiatives have played a crucial role in upholding its overall performance throughout the first quarter of 2024.
