Civil Service: 68,418 retirements expected between 2025 and 2029
A total of 68,418 civil servants are expected to retire between 2025 and 2029, according to the Human Resources Report accompanying the 2026 Finance Bill.
These retirements will mainly affect the Ministry of National Education (26,175), the Ministry of the Interior (15,617), the Ministry of Health (6,064), Higher Education (4,938), Justice (2,196), and Economy and Finance (1,975).
According to data from the Moroccan Pension Fund (CMR), these departures represent 13.9% and 18.6% of total staff in National Education and Higher Education, respectively, and 12.1%, 9.8%, 14.5%, and 9.7% of civil staff in the Interior, Health, Justice, and Economy and Finance ministries.
