Ecuador appoints new ambassador to Morocco

Ecuadorian President Daniel Noboa Azin has appointed a new ambassador to the Kingdom of Morocco.

In a decree signed on August 13, President Noboa named Diego Fernando Morejón Pazmiño as Ecuador’s new ambassador to Morocco. A legal scholar and career diplomat, Morejón Pazmiño previously served as Ecuador’s ambassador and deputy permanent representative to the United Nations in New York from 2008 to 2014.

In addition to Morocco, President Noboa appointed new diplomatic representatives to three other countries: Pascual Eugenio del Cioppo Aragundi to Panama, Patricia Terán Basso to Australia, and Vicente Francisco Albornoz Guarderas to Germany.

The Ecuadorian Ministry of Foreign Affairs will coordinate the formal assumption of duties for the newly appointed diplomats.
