In a significant development for international travel and economic ties, Royal Air Maroc (RAM) has announced the resumption of its direct flight connecting Casablanca and Beijing. This route, the first of its kind to link Morocco and China directly, is set to recommence on January 20 next year. Initially launched in January 2020, the service was suspended shortly thereafter due to the global COVID-19 pandemic.

Royal Air Maroc will operate this route thrice weekly, with departures from Casablanca scheduled for Mondays, Thursdays, and Saturdays at 3:15 p.m., landing in Beijing the following day at 10:50 a.m. local time. Return flights from Beijing will take place on Tuesdays, Fridays, and Sundays at 12:50 p.m. local time, arriving in Casablanca at 8:15 p.m. local time.

Expressing his satisfaction with this development, Royal Air Maroc CEO Hamid Addou highlighted the strategic importance of the Casablanca-Beijing route. "This route is primarily dedicated to the development of Moroccan tourism, with 80% of the traffic expected to consist of foreign tourists," Addou stated. He emphasized that the flight will play a crucial role in bolstering economic and commercial ties between Morocco and China.

The service will utilize the airline's Boeing 787-Dreamliner aircraft, which offers a capacity of 302 seats, including 26 in business class, ensuring a comfortable and efficient travel experience for all passengers.

Tickets for the Casablanca-Beijing route are now available for purchase through the airline's website, call centers, and commercial agencies. This eagerly anticipated resumption is expected to significantly enhance tourism and business exchanges between the two nations.
