Tetouan is set to dazzle from August 22 to 24 as it hosts the 12th edition of the Festival Voix de Femmes, a vibrant celebration of women's artistic expression.

After a pandemic hiatus, the festival returns with a diverse and exciting lineup. Under the theme “Women: Essential Partners for Sustainable Change,” it honors the power and creativity of women across various artistic forms.

Stages across the city, from the Spanish Theater to the Modern Art Center and the grand Al Matar stage, will be alive with performances by both international stars and emerging talents. The festival features illustrious names such as Zineb Afilal, Carole Samaha, Shatha Hassoun, Hind Ziadi, Sanaa Marahati, Gipsy Queens Generation, and Maria Ole Flamenco, ensuring a spectacular showcase.

Beyond music, the festival embraces a broader celebration of femininity. Highlights include a health caravan, solidarity initiatives for women prisoners, and a glamorous caftan fashion show by designers Samira Haddouchi and Hajar Hamouda.

The theme aligns with Royal Directives aimed at advancing the rights and status of Moroccan women, recognizing their crucial role in societal development and modernization.

“The Festival Voix de Femmes is an ode to female creativity and a hymn to cultural diversity,” said Karima Benyaich, president of the Association Voix de Femmes. “It’s a chance to celebrate the talent and contribution of women to the development of our society.”

In a world where art often mirrors the changes we desire, this festival stands as a beacon of what’s possible when women are given the stage—both literally and figuratively.
