Power Failure Causes Disruption on London Underground
A power outage caused significant disruption to London’s transport system as parts of the Underground network came to a standstill. Transport for London (TfL) reported that the Bakerloo and Suffragette lines were entirely out of service. Additionally, the Elizabeth, Jubilee, and Northern lines experienced severe delays and partial closures.
According to a TfL spokesperson, a brief power failure occurred in south-west London, attributed to a problem with the National Grid. The issue caused a system-wide halt, leaving some passengers temporarily stranded in tunnels. TfL is actively working to restore operations and resume normal service.
