Young man found shot dead in Rennes
A young man was found fatally shot inside a car in Rennes during the night from Saturday to Sunday, according to information confirmed by local prosecutors and police sources.
Authorities were alerted shortly after midnight when a resident reported hearing gunfire in the Le Blosne district, located in the southern part of the city. Responding officers discovered a vehicle containing a deceased man whose body showed signs of gunshot injuries.
Prosecutors indicated that the victim, identified by relatives, is believed to be a 25-year-old man originally from Morocco. The vehicle displayed several bullet impacts, and investigators recovered multiple shell casings around the scene.
An investigation for aggravated murder has been opened and assigned to the Rennes Organized Crime Division (DCOS), which has begun examining the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
