UM6P and Inwi Collaborate to Advance Innovative Entrepreneurship
In a bid to strengthen the entrepreneurial landscape in Morocco, the Mohammed VI Polytechnic University (UM6P) and telecommunications operator Inwi have forged a cooperation agreement aimed at fostering innovative entrepreneurship and bolstering digital startups. The announcement came during the ongoing GITEX Africa event in Marrakech.
This strategic partnership represents a significant step towards creating synergies between the private sector and academia. By leveraging their expertise and resources, UM6P and Inwi are committed to cultivating an ecosystem conducive to innovation and the expansion of young digital enterprises.
At the core of this collaboration is the InwiDays Awards, a prestigious event scheduled for June 25 at the UM6P campus in Benguerir. The 12th edition of these awards will bring together experts, entrepreneurs, and enthusiasts to exchange ideas and insights on the burgeoning Sportech sector.
The agreement aims to provide support and momentum to startup projects emerging as winners of the InwiDays Awards. These programs will identify, engage with, and nurture entrepreneurial talents and innovative projects in critical areas such as fintech, artificial intelligence, and sportstech.
Moreover, the initiative seeks to establish a national center dedicated to supporting and accelerating startups, fostering an environment conducive to the growth and success of these dynamic enterprises.
Inwi, a leading telecom operator, underscores that this collaboration seamlessly aligns with its vision to bolster the growth of Moroccan startups and spotlight the emerging digital economy. Meanwhile, UM6P reiterates its active role in creating an environment conducive to the development and triumph of startups.
Through this alliance, UM6P and Inwi are poised to unlock significant opportunities for digital startups and contribute to the vibrancy of the national entrepreneurial ecosystem.
