A senior British minister emphasized that U.S. President Donald Trump speaks for himself regarding his recent threat to “obliterate” Iran’s power plants if the Iran did not fully reopen the Strait of Hormuz within 48 hours.

Steve Reed, the UK Secretary of State for Housing, Communities and Local Government, clarified that Britain would not be dragged into the conflict. Speaking to Sky News, he said the U.S. president “is perfectly capable of speaking for himself and defending what it is that he’s saying.”
