Trump reports more than 1,100 investment transactions in July
US President Donald Trump carried out more than 1,100 reported securities transactions in July, highlighting continued activity across his personal investment portfolio as financial disclosures show a broad reshuffling of holdings.
The transactions, which covered purchases and sales of securities, had an estimated combined value ranging from roughly $79 million to $270 million based on the value brackets used in federal disclosure documents. The exact amount cannot be established from the filings because transactions are reported within financial ranges rather than at their precise value.
Among the reported sales were holdings in technology giants Microsoft and Amazon, with each transaction falling within a range of between $5 million and $25 million. The filings also showed a sale involving Oracle shares valued between $1 million and $5 million.
At the same time, the portfolio included purchases of shares in companies such as Nvidia, Intuit, Marvell Technology and Salesforce. The transactions indicate changes in the composition of the portfolio across several technology and business sectors, although the disclosures do not provide enough detail to determine the exact change in the size of each individual holding.
An analysis of the July filings put the value of reported purchases at a minimum of about $43.6 million, while sales amounted to at least $35.6 million. These figures represent minimum values derived from the disclosure ranges rather than the final value of the transactions.
The July activity followed an equally busy June, when more than 1,000 securities transactions were also reported. The consecutive months underline the scale of trading activity disclosed for Trump's investment portfolio during the period.
US federal financial disclosure rules require senior government officials to periodically report certain securities transactions. The Office of Government Ethics provides the Form 278-T for periodic transaction reporting, while public financial disclosure documents are made available under federal ethics rules.
Previous disclosures have also shown extensive trading activity involving major US companies. A Reuters review of filings released earlier in 2026 found thousands of transactions involving securities from companies including Microsoft, Meta, Oracle and Nvidia. The filings stated that Trump's investments were handled by third-party institutions without input from Trump, his family or his organisation.
The White House has previously said Trump's personal finances are managed by financial professionals. Trump himself has also said he does not participate in the day-to-day management of his investments.
The latest disclosures therefore provide a snapshot of substantial trading activity but do not, on their own, establish the president's exact investment gains, losses or final portfolio composition. The use of broad financial ranges means that the precise value of many individual transactions remains undisclosed.
