Transavia Soars into Morocco: New Summer Routes to Tangier and Rabat

The skies connecting France and Morocco are set to shimmer this summer as Transavia, the budget airline under the wing of Air France-KLM, unveils exciting new flight options. Commencing in July 2024, Transavia will inaugurate routes from Nantes to Tangier and from Montpellier to Rabat, offering travelers fresh avenues to explore.

Building upon its robust presence in Morocco, Transavia’s expansion strategy now includes 12 destinations within the country. This latest move enhances connectivity from various French airports to sought-after Moroccan locales like Casablanca, Marrakech, and Fez.

The Nantes-Tangier service will take flight on July 1st, with flights scheduled on Mondays and Fridays, as per the airline's press release. Concurrently, the Montpellier-Rabat route is slated to commence operations on July 3rd, offering departures every Wednesday and Sunday.

This strategic expansion aligns with the objectives of Morocco’s National Tourism Office (ONMT), which aims to position the country as a premier global destination. ONMT Director General Adel El Fakir emphasized the significance of previous route expansions by Transavia, particularly highlighting the tourism potential of Dakhla and Errachidia.

With Transavia amplifying its fleet and network footprint, passengers can anticipate enhanced accessibility and a broader array of travel choices between France and Morocco, not only for the upcoming summer season but also in the foreseeable future. The skies linking these two nations are poised for seamless journeys ahead.
