Tragedy Strikes Northern Nigeria: Mosque Fire Claims Lives in Family Feud

The Kano Fire Service admitted to a regrettable delay in their response, citing a lack of immediate alert. "In such situations, people are supposed to call us, but we didn't receive any calls from the location until after things had settled down," lamented Saminu Yusuf, the service's spokesman, in a statement to the BBC.
Initially, reports mentioned only one fatality, but as time passed, the grim toll increased as more victims succumbed to their injuries while being treated at the Murtala Muhammad Specialist Hospital in Kano.
