Tétouan's Coelma District Sparks Economic Growth with Industrial Zone Tender Launch

In a strategic move to bolster economic infrastructure and foster investment in the northern region, the Agency for the Promotion and Development of the North (APDN) has launched a call for tenders for the construction of an economic and artisanal activity zone (ZAE) in the Coelma district of Tétouan. With a total projected cost of approximately 100 million dirhams, the project is poised to be a catalyst for growth and employment in the region.

Divided into three distinct phases, the ambitious undertaking will unfold in a carefully orchestrated manner. The initial phase will see the realization of 60 units, laying the foundation for the subsequent stages. The second phase will focus on the development of 47 additional units, including administrative facilities, commercial spaces, and a nursery, catering to the diverse needs of the burgeoning industrial hub. The final phase will culminate in the establishment of 33 units, rounding out the comprehensive infrastructure envisioned for the zone.

Beyond its physical footprint, the project holds far-reaching implications for Tétouan's economic landscape. Aligning with the national strategy for promoting employment and private investment, the development of the Coelma ZAE seeks to fortify the city's economic infrastructure, attracting investors and fostering an environment conducive to sustained growth.

As the tender process unfolds, anticipation builds among stakeholders and residents alike, who recognize the transformative potential of such an endeavor. The establishment of this industrial zone not only promises to generate employment opportunities but also to catalyze a ripple effect of economic activity, positioning Tétouan as a hub for entrepreneurship and innovation.

With meticulous planning and a vision for long-term prosperity, the APDN's initiative represents a strategic investment in the region's future. As the project takes shape, it will undoubtedly draw the attention of investors and entrepreneurs seeking to capitalize on the opportunities presented by this burgeoning economic hub, further cementing Tétouan's reputation as a prime destination for industrial and commercial ventures.

In the coming months, as the first shovels break ground and the foundations are laid, the city will eagerly await the realization of this ambitious project, a testament to the unwavering commitment to fostering economic dynamism and sustainable development in the northern reaches of the kingdom.
