Strengthening Ties: Moroccan and Egyptian Foreign Ministers Engage in Comprehensive Bilateral Discussions

On Tuesday, September 10th, Nasser Bourita, the Moroccan Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation, and Moroccans Residing Abroad, held in-depth bilateral discussions with Badr Abdel Aty, the Egyptian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Migration, and Egyptian Expatriates Affairs, at the headquarters of the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Cairo's Tahrir Palace.

The two ministers reviewed ways to enhance the bilateral relations between Morocco and Egypt, guided by the directives of their respective leaders, King Mohammed VI of Morocco and President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi of Egypt. They emphasized the strong brotherly ties that bind the two countries' leaders and peoples, as well as the enduring solidarity and shared destiny between the two nations.

The ministers agreed to support coordination and consultation between the foreign ministries of the two countries, including by convening the fourth session of the Mechanism for Political and Strategic Dialogue and Coordination in the near future. They also pledged to intensify high-level visits between the two sides to inject new dynamism into the existing cooperation between the Kingdom of Morocco and the Arab Republic of Egypt.

The two officials also exchanged views on various issues of common interest at the Arab, African, and international levels.

This meeting underscores the commitment of Morocco and Egypt to strengthen their strategic partnership and deepen their cooperation on regional and global matters, further solidifying the longstanding ties between the two North African nations.
