Strengthening Military Medical Education: Morocco and Senegal Forge New Collaboration

On September 3 and 4, 2024, a high-level delegation from Senegal's Military Health Directorate visited Casablanca for pivotal discussions on enhancing medical education. Led by Colonel Abdou Razak Ndiaye, the delegation engaged with General Mohamed El Abbar, Inspector of the Moroccan Military Health Service.

The primary focus of this visit was to exchange expertise on organizing medical professor examinations. This collaboration aimed to bolster the relationship between Morocco and Senegal through shared insights and practices. The discussions included reviewing best practices and international standards for evaluating and selecting medical faculty, fostering a mutual understanding of educational methodologies.

The Faculty of Medicine and Pharmacy of Rabat, represented by its Dean, Brahim Lakhal, played a key role in these talks. The institution showcased its proficiency in managing medical faculty assessments, contributing valuable perspectives to the dialogue.

This visit not only facilitated a meaningful exchange of knowledge but also set the stage for future joint projects in military health and medical education. It underscored a commitment to elevating medical training standards and strengthening bilateral ties between the two nations.
