Samskip launches weekly maritime route connecting Morocco to Northern Europe
Multimodal transport company Samskip has officially launched a new maritime route linking Morocco to Northern Europe. The Samskip Toubkal will make its first commercial departure from Agadir port on November 13, 2025, now regularly connecting Rotterdam, Tilbury, Casablanca, and Agadir.
The service is operated by two vessels, the Samskip Toubkal and Samskip Amina, carrying 45-foot standard and refrigerated containers to ensure fast and secure deliveries, particularly for fresh produce. Transit to the UK and the Netherlands takes 4 to 5 days, with full customs handling included.
This route also provides a sustainable alternative to road transport, cutting CO₂ emissions by up to 80% and boosting the competitiveness of Moroccan exporters. The initiative is part of a strategic partnership between Samskip, Maroc Fruit Board, and Seatrust Group.
