Regional Project Promotes Youth Entrepreneurship in Agriculture in Dakhla-Oued Eddahab

As part of the regional implementation of the youth entrepreneurship program in agriculture, the Regional Directorate of Agriculture of Dakhla-Oued Eddahab has launched a project related to support through the Regional Center for Young Entrepreneurs in Agriculture and Agribusiness (CRJEAA) in Dakhla, with the support of external technical assistance, according to a statement from the Directorate.

This support system consists of deploying, through the CRJEAA, a personalized support offer for agricultural and agribusiness projects in the region, informs the same source, explaining that this will include personalized support for young people with project ideas or newly created companies and cooperatives, with a service adapted to the different profiles of young people.

This assistance also aims to implement services developed by young people who express their needs in entrepreneurship, in synergy and complementarity with programs and initiatives already established at the regional level, the statement notes.

On the other hand, the Directorate recalled that the "Green Generation 2020-2030" strategy has paid special attention to youth entrepreneurship at the regional level in order to promote a new generation of young agricultural entrepreneurs.

This roadmap has identified four levers for the operationalization of this axis. The first refers to the access of young people in the region to agricultural land in the private domain of the State and will allow interested young people to benefit from agricultural land within the framework of a public-private partnership.

The second lever concerns the implementation of institutional mechanisms and specific financial incentives for the emergence of new young farmers.

The third lever includes the promotion of youth entrepreneurship in services related to agriculture. Its implementation should allow the creation of companies in agricultural, para-agricultural, and digital services.

The fourth lever concerns an ambitious vocational training strategy aimed at training 4,295 young people (excluding the City of Trades and Skills), by 2030.
