Another individual, Beshear solemnly noted, is "fighting for his life."

The National Weather Service's preliminary survey revealed that an EF-3 tornado, packing sustained winds of 136 to 165 mph, had struck the area of Eddyville, Kentucky, on Sunday. Further damage assessments are scheduled for Muhlenberg County later this week.
