Nafeh Agourram elected to lead Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceima regional accountants’ council
Nafeh Agourram has been elected president of the Regional Council of the Order of Chartered Accountants for Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceima, following elections held on October 5, 2026, for the 2026-2029 term.
The vote brought together members of the regional professional body in accordance with the organization’s internal regulations. The election marks the beginning of a new three-year mandate for the council, which represents chartered accountants across one of Morocco’s major economic regions.
A new regional leadership team
Following the election of the council members, the president of the National Council of the Order of Chartered Accountants met with the newly elected representatives to organize the regional body and establish its executive bureau.
The resulting leadership team will be headed by Nafeh Agourram as president. He will work alongside Loubna Ourtassi, appointed vice-president, while Najlàa Ben Mokhtar will serve as secretary-general and Moussa Sounni as treasurer.
Six additional members have joined the council as assessors: Lahcen Addamous, Faissal Boukhrisa, Azddin El Azzouzi, Mehdi Ibnabdelouahab, Mohamed Lahyani and Mohamed Sbia.
The composition gives the regional council a full executive structure for the new mandate and establishes the responsibilities of its elected members for the 2026-2029 period.
A professional body with an institutional role
Beyond the appointment of its regional leadership, the election comes as the Order of Chartered Accountants reiterates its broader role within Morocco’s economic and institutional landscape.
The National Council reaffirmed its commitment to serving as an institutional partner to the state and public authorities. It also emphasized the profession’s contribution to Morocco’s economic and social development.
The regional councils play an important part in translating that institutional mission into professional activities at the local level, while supporting the organization and representation of the accounting profession within their respective territories.
For the Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceima region, the new leadership will now begin its three-year mandate with a newly constituted bureau and a clearly defined distribution of responsibilities.
The October 5 election therefore represents both a change in regional leadership and the formal launch of the Order’s new governance cycle for the 2026-2029 term.
