Morocco launches national logistics support tour for small businesses
Morocco’s Agency for Logistics Development and Maroc PME have launched the first stage of the “PME Supply Chain” program, marking the beginning of a nationwide campaign aimed at strengthening logistics and transport small and medium sized enterprises across the country.
The initiative seeks to improve the competitiveness and operational performance of Moroccan SMEs working in logistics and transport. Authorities also aim to help these companies integrate more effectively into national and international supply chains at a time when Morocco continues expanding its industrial and export infrastructure.
The opening event took place in Casablanca on May 14 alongside LOGISMED 2026. It was led by AMDL Director General Ghassane El Machrafi and Maroc PME Director General Anouar Alaoui Ismaili. Institutional stakeholders, logistics experts and company representatives attended the meeting to discuss the program’s deployment and regional expansion strategy.
Officials said the regional roadshow will bring the support mechanism closer to local economic actors while increasing awareness of the program among transport and logistics companies. The tour will also provide practical guidance on eligibility requirements, application procedures and operational support available to participating firms.
The program forms part of a broader territorial development strategy designed to connect public policy initiatives with local business ecosystems. Moroccan authorities want to accelerate the structural transformation of SMEs operating in supply chains while encouraging stronger regional participation and investment in logistics capabilities.
The campaign is also expected to generate applications from SMEs seeking operational assistance and improve coordination between regional institutions and private sector actors. Morocco has increasingly positioned logistics modernization as a key pillar of its industrial strategy, particularly as the country strengthens trade corridors linking Europe, Africa and the Middle East.
