Monaco bomb attack investigation focuses on female suspect

Investigators probing this week's bomb attack in Monaco are reportedly focusing on a woman believed to have delivered the explosive package that detonated outside the residence of Ukrainian businessman Vadim Ermolaev.

The development marks a significant shift in the investigation, although authorities have not publicly confirmed the identity of any suspect or announced any arrests.

Investigation takes a new direction

According to Le Figaro, investigators now believe the individual seen on surveillance cameras placing the suspicious package outside the property was a woman in her thirties.

Security footage reportedly shows a person wearing a wide black hat, a black vest, white trousers and white sneakers near the scene before the explosion.

Authorities are continuing to analyze surveillance recordings and other evidence to establish the suspect's identity and determine whether additional individuals were involved.

Blast left three people injured

The explosion occurred on Monday evening outside the residence believed to be associated with Vadim Ermolaev.

Three people were injured in the blast, including a woman who remains in critical condition.

Investigators have not officially confirmed the intended target of the attack, though the incident is widely believed to have been directed at the Ukrainian businessman.

Investigation remains ongoing

Law enforcement authorities have not released further details regarding the motive behind the attack or the possible identity of those responsible.

Officials continue to gather forensic evidence and examine surveillance footage as the investigation progresses.

Given the early stage of the inquiry, investigators have not announced any formal charges, and the reported identification of a female suspect has not yet been independently confirmed by judicial authorities.
