During a pivotal meeting chaired by Minister of Interior Abdelouafi Laftit, Lekjaa underscored Marrakech's global standing and robust infrastructure, asserting its readiness to host world-class events. The meeting focused on assessing progress in preparations for the upcoming World Cup, reflecting Morocco's commitment to excellence in event organization.
Lekjaa lauded Marrakech's recent track record, noting its successful hosting of high-profile events like the Annual Meetings of the World Bank and International Monetary Fund. During this session, Lekjaa spotlighted the Prince Moulay Abdellah Sports Complex, revealing plans for its completion by the end of the year. With a capacity of 65,000 spectators, this venue is set to be a prime location for World Cup semifinals.
