Google backs $200 billion initiative to expand AI chip infrastructure

Google is reportedly leading a major investment initiative valued at approximately $200 billion to accelerate the expansion of artificial intelligence infrastructure and strengthen the global supply of advanced AI chips. The ambitious project is expected to support the growing demand for high-performance computing as AI adoption continues to expand across industries.

According to industry reports, the initiative includes plans to provide more than $150 billion worth of advanced AI processors to AI developer Anthropic through a long-term infrastructure strategy.
