Food Security: Prime Minister to Address the House of Councillors

The House of Councillors will dedicate its next plenary session to a topic at the heart of national concerns: food security. Scheduled for next Tuesday, this meeting will allow councillors to question the Prime Minister during oral questions related to general policy, in accordance with constitutional provisions.

Organized under Article 100 of the Constitution, this session will start at 3:00 PM and will provide an opportunity to discuss the main issues related to the country's supply, the resilience of agricultural sectors, and the public policies implemented to ensure sufficient and sustainable food.

The debate is expected to enable representatives of the House of Councillors to assess the government's directions in response to challenges facing the food sector, particularly in a context marked by climate changes, fluctuations in international markets, and the imperatives of strengthening food sovereignty.
