Es-Semara's New Bus Station: Advancing Urban Development and Passenger Comfort

Es-Semara's new bus station officially opened its doors on Thursday, marking a significant improvement in the city's transportation infrastructure. This facility will now serve as the primary hub for passenger traffic, including buses and large taxis, with the goal of enhancing the passenger experience and ensuring smoother travel flow management.

The station's inauguration was attended by key regional and local officials, including the Wali of Laâyoune-Sakia El Hamra, the governor of Laâyoune province, and the governor of Es-Semara province. The event also featured local elected representatives. This project is part of the broader urban development program aimed at upgrading the city of Es-Semara, with a budget of approximately 12.2 million dirhams (MDH).

Strategically located in the "Rbeib" urban area, the new station covers a total area of 16,543 m², with the built-up area comprising 1,063 m². The remaining 15,480 m² is dedicated to external facilities and improvements.

The station, which is managed by the Es-Semara municipality, includes essential amenities such as five ticket counters, a waiting area, a parking lot, a police station, a prayer room, shops, cafes, and sanitation blocks. This comprehensive infrastructure is expected to provide better services to travelers while maintaining high safety standards.

The project is the result of a collaborative agreement between several entities, including the Directorate General of Local Authorities, the Agency for the Promotion and Development of Economic and Social Activities in the Southern Provinces, the Provincial Council, and the Es-Semara municipality. This new facility is designed to offer both travelers and transport professionals improved services in a secure environment.

Many travelers have expressed their satisfaction with the newly opened bus station, particularly appreciating its convenient amenities, smooth flow of traffic, and the availability of a large fleet of buses. Road transport professionals also share the positive sentiment, highlighting the significant improvements in working conditions and the ease of travel for citizens.

This new infrastructure marks a milestone in Es-Semara's development, promising a more efficient and comfortable transportation experience for all.
