Electoral list registration closes June 13 midnight deadline

The Moroccan authorities have reminded citizens that the deadline for updating and joining the general electoral lists will end on June 13 at midnight. The measure comes as the country prepares for legislative elections scheduled for September 23, 2026. The registration period forms part of the routine revision of voter rolls aimed at ensuring updated and accurate electoral data ahead of the national vote.

Eligible citizens who are not yet registered are encouraged to complete their inscription before the cutoff date. This includes individuals who have reached the legal voting age of 18 or who will turn 18 by election day. Applications can be submitted through the designated digital platform or directly at local administrative offices responsible for electoral registration.

Authorities have also stressed the importance of updating voter information for individuals who have changed their place of residence. Voters who have moved are required to transfer their registration to their new commune or district to ensure they are correctly assigned to the appropriate polling station. This process can be completed online or through local administrative services.

Citizens are further advised to verify their current registration status using available verification tools, including SMS-based services and official online portals. Those who find themselves missing from the voter lists must submit a new registration request before the deadline. After June 13, no additional requests or modifications will be accepted, reinforcing the final nature of the revision period.
