Eight injured in Iranian missile and drone strikes on Qatar
Eight people were injured, including one critically, following Iranian missile and drone attacks on Qatar on Saturday. The strikes targeted both civilian areas and military infrastructure, including the U.S. Al-Udeid Air Base near Doha, where a long-range radar system was damaged.
A diplomat speaking on condition of anonymity told AFP that Qatar was hit by 44 missiles and eight drones. Most of the attacks were intercepted, but some missiles managed to strike, causing injuries and damaging critical radar equipment.
The incident marks a significant escalation in regional tensions, highlighting the vulnerability of key military installations in the Gulf amid ongoing hostilities.
