Dislog medical devices acquires scomedica to strengthen its leadership in medical distribution
Dislog Medical Devices, a subsidiary of Dislog Group, announced on Thursday the acquisition of Scomedica, a major Moroccan company specializing in the distribution of medical devices, analytical and laboratory equipment, and consumables for hospitals, clinics, hygiene centers, and universities.
Founded nearly 30 years ago by Dr. Ali Squalli, Scomedica has established itself as a key player in the Moroccan healthcare market, with an annual turnover of 45 million dirhams. Following the acquisition, Dr. Squalli joins Dislog Group as a shareholder within Dislog Medical Devices.
“This acquisition is part of our growth and consolidation strategy, reinforcing Dislog Medical Devices—which already achieves one billion dirhams in revenue—as a national leader in the distribution of medical solutions and devices in a one-stop-shop model,” said Moncef Belkhayat, CEO of Dislog Group.
The transaction, approved by the Competition Council, was advised by Burj Finance, alongside Salma Benaddou Idrissi, Ghita Baâtar, and Ali Filali. With this acquisition, Dislog aims to enhance the accessibility and efficiency of Morocco’s healthcare system through an expanded product portfolio and integrated service model.
