Cristiano Ronaldo Plans to Finish Career at Al Nassr, Eyes Future Beyond Football

Cristiano Ronaldo has disclosed that he intends to retire with Al Nassr, the Saudi Arabian club he joined in December 2022. Speaking to Portuguese channel NOW, Ronaldo revealed that while he is uncertain about the exact timing, he envisions concluding his football career at Al Nassr in the next two to three years.

The 39-year-old forward, who has scored 50 goals in 48 appearances for the club, expressed his satisfaction with his current situation. "I’m very happy at this club, I feel good in this country, too. I’m happy to play in Saudi Arabia and I want to continue,” Ronaldo stated. His move to Al Nassr followed a contentious departure from Manchester United, and although his stint in Saudi Arabia has not yet brought any trophies, the substantial contract, reportedly valued at over $220 million, has marked a significant chapter in his career.

Despite his focus on club football, Ronaldo remains committed to representing Portugal. He participated in all matches during Euro 2024, where Portugal reached the quarterfinals before being eliminated by France in a penalty shootout. Ronaldo expressed his intention to continue playing for the national team, with an eye on upcoming Nations League fixtures against Croatia and Poland. "When I leave the national team, I won’t tell anyone in advance and it will be a very spontaneous decision on my part, but also a very well-thought-out one," he remarked.

Looking beyond football, Ronaldo has no current plans to enter management. He has made it clear that coaching is not on his radar. “At the moment, I’m not thinking about being a coach of the first team or any team. It doesn’t even cross my mind, I’ve never thought about it,” he said. Instead, Ronaldo envisions exploring opportunities outside of football, though he remains uncertain about what the future holds.

This marks a period of reflection and transition for one of football’s most iconic figures, as Ronaldo continues to make headlines both on and off the pitch.
