Cegid inaugurates Cegid Atlas in Casablanca strengthening Morocco role
Cegid has opened its new Cegid Atlas centre of excellence in Casablanca, marking a significant step in its international expansion strategy. The facility is located in Casablanca Finance City and begins operations with 240 employees, reinforcing Morocco’s position within the company’s global operating model. The initiative aligns with the group’s long-term shift toward a more distributed structure for cloud-based services.
The new centre integrates multiple strategic functions rather than acting as a simple support hub. It brings together customer support, cloud deployment services, product delivery, training, and post-sales assistance. It also includes research and development activities that contribute to product roadmaps, along with back-office operations spanning finance, human resources, information systems, and administrative coordination. This structure places Casablanca within the core execution chain of the company’s international business.
Company leadership describes the Casablanca site as a strategic extension of its global capabilities, designed to serve European and international clients more efficiently. Local stakeholders emphasize the importance of the project for Morocco’s technology ecosystem, highlighting the country’s expanding talent pool in engineering, software development, and digital services. The rapid recruitment of hundreds of professionals reflects both local availability of skilled workers and rising demand for integrated tech operations in the region.
