CDG warns public against fake documents and forged account statements

Morocco’s Caisse de Dépôt et de Gestion (CDG) has issued a public warning urging citizens to remain vigilant against fraudulent documents and falsified account statements circulating outside its official channels.

In a statement released on Wednesday, the public financial institution said it had identified suspicious documents falsely claiming the existence of deposits or consignments allegedly held by the CDG. These documents, according to the institution, appear to be intended for deceptive and illegal purposes, involving individuals who claim to own or manage large sums of money supposedly deposited in their name or on behalf of third parties.

The CDG stressed that only information and documents issued through its official services and communication platforms should be considered valid. It cautioned the public against relying on unofficial sources, emphasizing that such materials do not reflect its records or operations.

To avoid misinformation or fraud, the CDG encouraged citizens to consult its official website or contact its services directly through authorized electronic channels. Individuals seeking verification or clarification may also visit the institution’s headquarters in Rabat or one of its regional offices across several Moroccan cities.
