Casablanca receives 31 new security vehicles as DGSN modernizes emergency police fleet
The General Directorate of National Security (DGSN) has strengthened its operational capabilities in Casablanca with the deployment of 31 new security vehicles as part of a broader program to modernize police resources across Morocco’s major urban areas.
The first batch of vehicles was assigned to the Casablanca police services following a decision by DGSN Director General Abdellatif Hammouchi, according to the directorate’s central communication unit.
The newly deployed fleet includes modern and equipped vehicles primarily dedicated to emergency police services, as well as specialized units responsible for protecting citizens and responding to urgent calls around the clock.
The DGSN said the operation forms part of an ongoing effort to update police infrastructure and improve the efficiency of field operations through the renewal of its vehicle fleet.
The new vehicles will support the work of Casablanca’s police services by enhancing mobility, intervention capacity and the ability of officers to respond quickly to public security needs across the city.
Images released during the deployment showed marked National Security vehicles, service cars and vans positioned in front of the Casablanca Central Command and Coordination Post, a key facility responsible for traffic management and video surveillance operations.
The initiative reflects Morocco’s continued investment in strengthening public security services through upgraded equipment, improved operational structures and enhanced resources for frontline police units.
