A tragic building collapse in Abidjan, the economic capital of Ivory Coast, has claimed the lives of at least four people, according to preliminary reports released by emergency authorities on Saturday.

The incident occurred in the Soweto neighborhood of Koumassi, where a four-story building under construction suddenly collapsed. Local authorities confirmed that the lower two floors of the structure were already occupied at the time of the disaster, raising concerns about construction safety and regulatory oversight.
