Brazil’s Lula seeks stronger relationship with Trump, Washington post reports

Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva has expressed interest in strengthening his personal and diplomatic relationship with U.S. President Donald Trump, according to an interview published by the Washington Post.

Lula said that closer ties with the U.S. leader could help attract American investment to Brazil, reduce the risk of new tariffs and sanctions, and reinforce international respect for Brazilian democracy.
