Anduril doubles valuation after raising $5 billion in new funding round
Anduril Industries announced a major financial milestone after securing 5 billion dollars in a new investment round that doubled the company’s valuation to 61 billion dollars.
The California-based defense technology company said the funding round was led by major venture capital firms Thrive Capital and Andreessen Horowitz. The investment highlights growing investor interest in advanced defense technologies and autonomous military systems.
According to the company, its annual revenue has more than doubled over the past year, reaching approximately 2.2 billion dollars in 2025. Anduril also reported significant growth in its workforce as demand for defense-related innovation continues to rise globally.
Founded to modernize military technology, Anduril develops a wide range of defense systems, including surveillance sensors, artificial intelligence platforms and autonomous drones designed for security and battlefield operations. The company has gained increasing attention for promoting lower-cost and highly automated defense solutions.
Industry analysts say defense technology firms have attracted stronger financial support amid growing geopolitical tensions and increasing military spending in several regions around the world. Investors are showing particular interest in companies focused on artificial intelligence, robotics and autonomous systems for national security applications.
The latest fundraising round also reflects a broader trend in the technology sector, where large amounts of private capital allow fast-growing companies to remain privately owned for longer periods instead of seeking immediate stock market listings.
Experts believe Anduril’s rapid expansion demonstrates how technological innovation is reshaping the defense industry, with governments and military organizations increasingly searching for modern, flexible and cost-effective security solutions.
The company is expected to continue investing in research, production capacity and international partnerships as competition intensifies within the global defense technology market.
