Olympique de Marseille has announced its list of players registered for the Europa League for the 2026-2027 season. Among the selected players is Moroccan international Amine Harit, who is expected to participate in the club's European campaign.

Harit retains the trust of the new coach

Back in Marseille after a loan spell at Başakşehir in Turkey, Amine Harit begins the final year of his contract with OM. The Moroccan midfielder still holds a place in Bruno Genesio's plans, who aims to rely on several experienced players to guide a squad that has been refreshed following the summer transfer window.

The French coach particularly appreciates Harit's versatility and experience, two assets that could prove important throughout a season marked by Ligue 1 and European fixtures.

Alongside the Moroccan, the Marseille coach intends to count on Dutchman Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, Brazilian Igor Paixão, and Moroccan defender Nayef Aguerd.

A challenging European campaign ahead

OM will kick off its Europa League campaign on September 17, with an away match against Beşiktaş. The Marseille club will also face Olympiakos, Celtic, and Celta Vigo.

These matches will provide Harit with the opportunity to return to the European scene wearing Marseille colors, as the club seeks to build a team capable of maintaining a consistent level of performance despite a quantitatively limited squad.

Genesio focuses on consistency

Speaking at a press conference, Bruno Genesio emphasized consistency and collective balance as his main priorities for this new season. The coach aims to compensate for the numerical limitations of his squad with a more stable organization and an adapted use of the available players.

Regarding Marseille's ambitions, the coach was cautious and did not wish to publicly set a qualification goal for the Champions League. He notably reminded everyone of the inherent uncertainty in football and the difficulty of predicting the evolution of a season.

For Amine Harit, this new campaign thus represents an opportunity to establish himself permanently in the plans of the new coach and to regain an important place within OM.
