Ameen Boudchar continues international rise with major summer festival tour
The Franco-Moroccan conductor and composer Ameen Boudchar is preparing for a major artistic summer in 2026, marked by a series of performances across some of the Arab world’s most prominent music festivals, confirming his growing influence on the regional and international music scene.
Boudchar will launch his summer tour at the Mawazine Festival in Rabat on June 26, before heading to Riyadh for a concert scheduled on July 10, marking his return to the Saudi capital following a previous appearance during Riyadh Season in 2024.
He will then return to Morocco for a performance at the Issawa Festival in Meknes on July 22, before continuing his regional tour with a concert at the Jerash Festival in Jordan on July 29, one of the most prestigious cultural events in the Arab world.
In August, the musician will continue his journey in Tunisia, performing at the International Festival of Sfax on August 8, followed by the International Festival of Bizerte on August 9. He will conclude his summer tour with a major performance at the Roman Theatre of Carthage on August 31.
Boudchar’s growing presence on major Arab stages reflects an artistic trajectory built on the reinterpretation of Arab musical heritage through a modern orchestral approach that blends tradition with contemporary arrangements. His work has attracted a wide and diverse audience across generations in the Arab world, Europe, and Canada.
Beyond his reinterpretations of traditional music, Boudchar has also composed around ten original works, reinforcing his position not only as an arranger and conductor but also as a creative composer in his own right.
Observers see his continued success as part of a broader emergence of a new generation of artists reshaping Arab music with global production standards while preserving its cultural identity.
His performance at Mawazine is expected to be a key highlight of the tour, following his previous appearance at the festival, which reportedly drew an audience of over 200,000 spectators, further consolidating his status as one of the leading figures in contemporary Arab orchestral music.
