Today marks a historic moment for Moroccan journalism as AL MAGHRIBIYA AL IKHBARIYA, the country's inaugural 24-hour news channel, broadcasts its first daily newscast.
Under the leadership of editor-in-chief Abderrahmane Ennaji, the dedicated team of journalists at AL MAGHRIBIYA AL IKHBARIYA has undergone intensive training in preparation for this groundbreaking launch.
Fayçal Laraichi, the visionary director-general of Morocco's public broadcasting company SNRT, devised the strategy to establish this pioneering news channel. The goal is to provide citizens, both at home and abroad, with real-time coverage of national and global events.
In line with Laraichi's mission to simplify and humanize news delivery, Ennaji expressed excitement, stating, "We are thrilled to introduce this promising platform, enabling all Moroccans to stay informed 24/7 as stories unfold."
Starting today, AL MAGHRIBIYA AL IKHBARIYA will present its first hourly news update at 7 AM, with additional broadcasts scheduled at 2 AM and 4 AM. The channel also plans to enhance integration with SNRT's other stations over time.
