Rumors linking Moroccan winger Abde Ezzalzouli with a summer move to AS Roma have been rejected by his representative, who said there have been no discussions between the player and the Italian club.

The 2026 summer transfer window has once again placed several Moroccan internationals at the center of speculation, with Ezzalzouli emerging as one of the names reportedly attracting interest from European clubs. Reports had suggested that the Real Betis forward could make a switch to Serie A, but his agent Alejandro Camano has dismissed those claims.

“There is absolutely nothing with Roma. Everything being said is false,” Camano said, directly addressing the speculation surrounding the Morocco international’s future.

Despite the rumors, Ezzalzouli remains expected to continue with Real Betis, where he has become an important figure in the club’s recent progress. The Spanish side secured qualification for the 2026-2027 UEFA Champions League, with the Moroccan winger playing a significant role in a standout campaign.

The 24-year-old enjoyed one of the best seasons of his career in 2025-2026, contributing 15 goals and 13 assists in 43 appearances across competitions. His performances helped Betis finish fifth in La Liga and strengthened his reputation as one of Morocco’s most influential attacking players.

Ezzalzouli is currently focused on recovering from a knee injury sustained during a friendly match between Morocco and Norway ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup. The winger is following a rehabilitation program in Spain as he works toward regaining full fitness before the new season begins.

His recovery timeline could affect his participation in pre-season preparations, including a scheduled August meeting with Arsenal. However, his priority remains returning to competition and continuing his development with Real Betis rather than pursuing a transfer.
