The trend reflects unease surrounding Washington's foreign policy direction and its political messaging toward the continent.

Recent surveys reveal that a majority of Canadians and large segments of the populations in Germany and France now view the United States as a destabilizing rather than stabilizing influence in world affairs. Many respondents believe Washington creates more problems than it solves, citing inconsistent diplomacy and internal political volatility as key reasons behind this perception.
