The announcement suggests the administration is moving closer to replacing temporary import duties introduced after last year's legal challenges to earlier tariff policies.
New trade measures expected soon
Speaking in an interview with CNBC, US Trade Representative (USTR) Jamieson Greer said additional tariff decisions are expected to be announced in the near future, although he declined to provide a precise timetable.
