El Jadida horse show: HRH Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan inaugurates 16th edition
HRH Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan presided on Monday over the opening ceremony of the 16th edition of the El Jadida Horse Show, held at the Mohammed VI Exhibition Center. The event, which runs until October 5, is organized under the theme “Horse welfare, a bridge between equestrian practices.”
Upon his arrival, the Crown Prince was welcomed by Moulay Abdellah Alaoui, president of the Horse Show Association, and reviewed a guard of honor from the Royal Guard. Several senior officials attended the ceremony, including Agriculture Minister Ahmed El Bouari, Casablanca-Settat Governor Mohamed Mhidia, regional council president Abdellatif Maâzouz, and El Jadida’s provincial governor Mhamed Atfaoui.
Distinguished international guests were also present, such as Necmeddin Bilal Erdogan, president of Ethnosport (Türkiye), ambassadors from the United Arab Emirates, Türkiye, and Saudi Arabia, as well as representatives from Qatar and Abu Dhabi’s heritage authority.
The Crown Prince later toured the exhibition’s villages, dedicated to institutions, breeders, crafts, arts, international delegations, and regional showcases. He also visited a special space designed for children to discover Morocco’s equestrian heritage.
On the main arena, the audience enjoyed equestrian shows, artistic performances, and acrobatics presented by Moroccan and foreign riders. The Prince then attended traditional tbourida performances featuring 18 troupes (sorbas) from across the country, before posing for a commemorative photo with their leaders.
